I started Prospero because I believe there is a sizable resource & community gap for young adults entering the workforce. I graduated from college in 2020, right at the height of the pandemic, and because I was trying to find a job outside of my major (Physics), I felt really alone and unprepared for the job search. Basically, I felt like I had just entered the workforce with no idea about how to present myself and find ways to upskill without spending huge amounts of money on a bootcamp or another degree.
Thankfully, I found a job at a YC startup and was fortunate to gain a lot of experience from it, but honestly that was pure luck. Over the last two years, I've worked and met with hundreds of peers who are also trying to figure out their place in the world. I've come to realize that, now more than ever, there is a need for a motivating community that supports each other as we collectively work towards our goals.
That's why I'm building Prospero...to create a community that delivers Members with the right mix of resources, relevant experience, and community support they need to achieve their goals.
Looking forward to seeing you in a Prospero Learning Community.
